You are in charge of exploring islands, setting up settlements, controlling diplomatic relationships and engaging in combat if the need arises.
The gameplay in Dawn of Discovery doesn’t change much from the previous games in the series with players taking control of their own country.
The game is available on a number of platforms and has an expansion pack (Anno 1404: Venice) available. Dawn of Discovery (Anno 1404 outside of North America) offers city building with an economic focus. The game is based in a medieval and renaissance style setting and has players building up their own civilisation.
